Lewis Martin Pederson
From riding bulls to singing about bulls to reciting a lot of bull, Lewis Pederson from High River has done it all, (nearly).
A quarter horse breeder and trainer, he has “been in and out of the Quarter Horse Show.
I buy them high and sell them low.
Don’t want the boys to think I’m cheap, you know!”
Lewis is a rancher/farmer whose sense of humour has helped him survive a rodeo and recording career with Rodeo Number One Sport his claim to fame. His book is called “Cowboy Philosophy”.
Lewis has entertained people from Toronto to Sicamous over the past 40 years and he loves to make people laugh. He has performed poetry in Pincher Creek, Medicine Hat, Calgary Stampede and Maple Creek.
He currently runs the saddle shop at the Bar-U Ranch, Canada’s only National Park with a western theme.
